Project summary
The study identified and analysed transaction costs in music licensing for online music services, examined licensing processes, and proposed ways to reduce transaction costs. It included qualitative and quantitative analysis and a comparative legal review in the UK, Spain, and Czech Republic.

KEA collected data via email surveys and follow-up interviews with online music service providers, music aggregators, and collective management organisations; conducted quantitative and qualitative economic analysis; performed legal comparative analysis; drafted the final study and policy recommendations.
